Kellie Johnson was a teacher for 26 years in the Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City ISD. In 2012, she went back to school to become a Reading Specialist. She then became an interventionist in her school district for 8 years working with students who struggle with reading and math skills. In 2020, she completed her certification to become an educational diagnostician. She currently is putting her passion of identifying a student’s learning gaps as her priority.
As a teacher and reading specialist, Kellie understands how important it is to be a successful reader. Too many of our children are not meeting their reading potential because of significant learning gaps or potential learning disabilities. Kellie has started Academic Diagnostics to provide evaluations to identify students with dyslexia so that families can begin interventions to get their children on the path of being a successful reader. She offers the basic dyslexia evaluation and a full comprehensive evaluation.
